My name is Oleksandr Zhylenkov, I am from Kyiv Ukraine, I am giving a little bit of insight about me and my family in this difficult situation from the outskirts of Kyiv.

This is my small town in the outskirts of Kyiv, where my family is hosting 4 more families from the center of kyiv trying to get away from the continuos shellings. We have been here since the 25th of February, we share food and medicine between neighbours.

Just giving a little bit of information about what is going on it’s day # 8 of this madness, thank you so much for all the people that have donated, and for your support messages.

Today is 4th of March, one week and one day since everything started, people are tired and every day the anxiety increases but we are optimistic everything will be okay. Today is Monday, this is the second Monday that I spent at my parents house just hiding from the madness of the center of Kyiv, thanks God me and my family and friends are safe for now. Every day is becoming more noisy and scary where we are, we can hear the explosions louder and closer, today a Russian plane was flying near our town cause we heard that Ukraine wanted to take it down, so we packed a few bags with our essentials just in case we need to leave quickly, #ukrainehelp #ukrainefund #ukraine #ukrainecrisis #ukrainewar

Today is Saturday but since the 24th of February the day of the week does not matter any more, all the days are the same. We heard heavy firing since 4:00 am till 12:00 pm, 6 hours of just detonations, we had plans to go out but we couldn’t because of it, we just went to help a neighbor he is not here and asked us to cover some stuffs he has in his front yard but besides that we stayed at home all day. #ukrainehelp #ukrainefund #ukraine #ukrainecrisis #ukrainewar

Today I had a busy day, I went to my work to check everything it is super noisy over there, you can hear shelling and the air raid sirens all day long, is not a good place to be at the moment.
